Dr Roger Engel is a chiropractor and osteopath with over 30 years clinical experience. He has practiced in a variety of settings including urban and rural private practice and private and public hospitals, both inside and outside Australia. His initial appointment at Macquarie in September 2001 was as Director of Clinics, a position he held until July 2006, when he stepped down to concentrate more on pursuing research. Since then he has been working in the field of chronic respiratory disease, completing a PhD in 2012 on the use of manual therapy in managing chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
